I’m Sergio Cambelo, a Cloud Architect at Keepler Data Tech specializing in cloud engineering, infrastructure, and platform design. With over 20 years in IT and 7+ years in cloud technologies, I focus on cloud networking, Landing Zones, and governance across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
I’m genuinely curious about technology and love diving deep into new concepts, experimenting with solutions, and sharing what I learn along the way. There’s nothing quite like that moment when complex cloud architectures just click into place.

HIKING
There’s something magical about hitting the trail with just a backpack and a plan. Hiking and mountaineering teach me patience and persistence - qualities that serve me well when troubleshooting complex cloud architectures. The methodical approach of planning a route, checking conditions, and adapting when things don’t go as expected mirrors how I approach technical challenges. Plus, some of my best architectural insights have come to me while walking through the mountains, away from screens and distractions.
MUSIC
As an amateur recorder player, I’ve learned that mastering an instrument requires the same dedication as mastering technology - consistent practice, attention to detail, and patience with the learning process. Music has taught me to appreciate patterns and timing, skills that translate surprisingly well to understanding system rhythms and performance optimization. Whether I’m learning a new piece or debugging a network issue, both require careful listening and incremental improvement.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Every great photograph starts with seeing the bigger picture, then focusing on the details that matter most. This perspective has shaped how I approach cloud architecture - understanding the overall landscape before diving into the technical specifics. Travel photography has also made me more observant of patterns and relationships, whether it’s the interplay of light and shadow or the dependencies between cloud services. Each shot teaches me something about composition, much like each project teaches me about system design.
TECHNOLOGY TINKERING
My curiosity doesn’t stop at work hours. I love setting up home labs, experimenting with new tools, and breaking things just to understand how they work. Whether it’s testing the latest Kubernetes features, playing with IoT devices, or automating my home setup, tinkering keeps my hands-on skills sharp and often leads to insights I can apply professionally. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of getting a complex setup working perfectly - it’s the same feeling I get when a cloud migration goes smoothly.
